Hunting grounds are an area in which hunting can be carried out and as a habitat for wild animals, considered in terms of forage, protective and nesting terms.
The protective properties of hunting grounds are determined by the ability to shelter animals from bad weather and various enemies.
The feeding properties of hunting grounds are determined by the stock of available forages per unit area.
